The article that follows details the formation of what can best be called ‘The Apostacy Council’. Summoning the resources of some of the highest profile evangelical/charismatic ministries in the country, and controlling a combined population of over 3 million adherents (a modest estimate based upon Gallup poll numbers from a 2000 survey-see #1), the Christians United For Israel (CUFI) now stand ready to place the resources (worth billions of dollars and inestimable man-hours) at the feet of unbelieving jews in Israel.
Based on a faulty exegesis of scripture regarding the identity of Israel in scripture, and the escalating hopes of a soon-to-come “rapture” off the Earth at the time of the tribulation, this confederation of big-dollar, high impact 501(c)3 corporate ministries will supply the vital political capital to guide the nation’s political and military forces directly into the collision which leads to Armageddon. Make no mistake about how explicit the doctrine of “Jewish Supremacy” is to this bunch. It’s founder and guiding voice, Pastor John Hagee of San Antonio, TX is VERY firm on the articulated stance of “christians” as regards the nation-state of Israel:
“The support of Israel is a biblically based mandate for every Christian.”
“God also told Abraham that He would make Abraham’s descendants into a great nation and through them He would bless all the families of the earth. In the same passage, God said He would “bless those who bless you” (Abraham), and “curse him who curses you” (Gen. 12:3). That gets my attention. I want to be blessed, not cursed, by God.”
“The prophet Zechariah said that the Jewish people are “the apple of God’s eye” (2:8). … if God considers Israel the apple of His eye, then it is logical to say that those who stand with Israel are standing with God.”
Hagee also proudly proclaims his zeal for apostate Judaism by a web page, dedicated to articulating his doctrines toward Israel. And by emblazoning that page with a “Star of David“—the sign we recognize as the “Star of Remphan” (Acts 7:43) or of Moloch (Amos 5:26)—what may be best described as the “image of jealousy” (Ezekiel 8:3,5). This same image, which provoked the murder of Stephen in the early church, now stirs the passions of the Christo-Zionist pharisees at the end of the age!
The blindness which engulfs the entire millieu called “Evangelical Christianity” (a/k/a the rapture cult) is summarized in the mindless statements above. They deny the core tenets of New Covenant theology by denying the TRUTH of the IDENTITY of Israel as clearly articulated in the Bible:
“Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.”- Romans 9:6-8
“What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded. (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.“- Rom 11:7-8
“Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.”-Gal 3:16
“I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.“-Hebrews 8:9 (KJV)
Indeed, the full balance of New Testament treaching identifies Israel as a spiritual construct, as a merged identity which no longer honors bloodlines and religious traditions. In Romans 11 Paul carefully outlines the “grafting in” of the Gentiles to the Jews, referring to branches which are “broken off” of the olive tree (symbolic of spiritual Israel), and of the “wild olive tree” which is grafted in. This balanced theology never denies the just(ified) people of old Israel who then believed in the Messiah at His first coming, but also confirms the opening up of the fellowship of salvation unto the “gentiles”.
The dispensational mind-set of John Hagee, et. al represents the most extremely unbalanced presentation of the gospel, indeed it IS the staging area for the “abomination of desolation“. Furthermore, just as Jerusalem was crushed in 70 A.D., due to the hideous practices of Pharisaical Judiaism, their modern day counterparts are about to experience a similar fate with a magnitude of greater force.
As scripture teaches, and as articulated repeatedly by James Lloyd and most recently by Sue Patterson in “The 144,000 and the Multitude“, these functional Bible illiterates are to reap bitterly of the harvest of lies they are sowing in the reckoning:
“And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. [9] And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.“-Zech. 13:8,9
The TIMING of this “rebel coalition” could not be more perfect, Indeed from our perspective on the Threshing Floor and the “Third Day” study, we are projecting a massive collision in the middle East on, or about March 17th. The details of the study are on our website blog with all the notes and scripture citations. I am working on a summary article to post in the near term.
Article: Evangelicals to launch ‘Christian AIPAC’

A leading US evangelist is forming an umbrella organization under which all pro-Israel Christians in America can speak as one in support of the Jewish state.
Pastor John C. Hagee of San Antonio, Texas, is to launch Christians United for Israel (CUFI) at an invitation-only “Summit on Israel” next Tuesday at his Cornerstone Church.
The Texas-size church seats 5,000 worshipers and has some 17,000 members, but the summit will host a much smaller congregation: the spiritual leaders of an estimated 30 million US Christians.
“Think of CUFI as a Christian version of AIPAC [the American Israel Public Affairs Committee],” Hagee told The Jerusalem Post. “We need to be able to respond instantly to Washington with our concerns about Israel. We must join forces to speak as one group and move as one body to [respond to] the crisis Israel will be facing in the near future.”
Hagee declined to specify which crisis, noting that Israel faces one “every day the sun comes up.” But at the top of the CUFI agenda is what the pastor calls “the Bible issue,” namely what he considers to be the mistaken policy of trading parts of the biblical Land of Israel for peace, an agenda that AIPAC, for example, neglects.
Accordingly, Hagee says, CUFI intends to “interact with the government in Washington” and persuade it “to stop pressuring Israel to give up land for peace. Besides the fact that this does not work, Israel has a Bible mandate for the land. Now that Gaza has been given to Hamas, it has a military foothold a thousand yards from Jerusalem.”
CUFI’s Washington efforts are to be led by national director Hagee and a blue-ribbon board supervising 12 regional directors, each of whom is responsible for four states.
“Every state in the Union, every congressional district” will be accounted for, Hagee says. Board members comprise an evangelical who’s who, including Jerry Falwell, Benny Hinn, Jack Hayford, George Morrison, Rod Parsley and Steven Strang. Televangelist Pat Robertson is to attend the summit, but is not on the board.
Asked whether this had anything to do with Robertson’s infamous attribution of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s stroke to divine retribution for the withdrawal from Gaza, Hagee called Robertson’s remark “insensitive and unnecessary.” He also derided similar attempts to link Hurricane Katrina or other disasters to the Gaza disengagement, saying, “We have no desire to try to guess God’s opinion about a storm.”
CUFI aims to speak for Israel, but not to Israel, particularly during the present election campaign. While the organization supports moving the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, its main concern is “the Bible issue” and not Israeli politics. To this end, Hagee says, CUFI will back “whoever is for keeping the land.”
